Carlos Garcia doesn’t like the cold 1997 Leaf card
In honour of the -19° windchill as I post, let’s remember bundled up second baseman Carlos Garcia. In his one season with the Jays he batted only .220 and managed to accumulate (deccumulate?) a WAR of -2.2 in only 103 games. There wasn’t much to turn to, as other people getting starts at 2B that year were a bunch of guys you haven’t thought of in years: Mariano Duncan, Tilson Brito, Felipe Crespo and Juan Samuel.
